Rising Up obtains the NR1 Responsible Digital Label (LUCIE). A key step in structuring our digital sobriety and responsible AI approach

Rising Up just got the Responsible Digital Label — Level 1 (NR1) issued by the LUCIE agency. This recognition marks a structuring step in our commitment to more responsible digital technology, in line with both our social mission and our work on responsible artificial intelligence.
In a context where digital technology and AI occupy an increasing place in the fields of training and employment, it seemed essential to us to structure our practices in order to reconcile technological innovation, digital sobriety and social impact.
Digital technology generates significant environmental impacts, particularly in terms of energy consumption, infrastructure and content production. It also raises major social and ethical issues: accessibility of services, inclusion, data protection and transparency of algorithmic systems.
For Rising Up, engage in a process of Responsible digital consists in adopting a lucid and demanding approach to digital technology. This means designing useful, simple and accessible solutions, while ensuring that innovation remains at the service of human skills and employability, and not the other way around.
The Responsible Digital Label, carried by the Institute for Responsible Digital Technology (INR) and deployed by the LUCIE agency, assesses the maturity of organizations across all of their digital practices. In particular, it covers the governance of the approach, the responsible design of digital services, the management of data and infrastructures, the social impact of digital technology as well as the development of team skills.
Obtaining the level NR1 recognizes a committed, structured and progressive approach, adapted to the size and activities of the organization. It attests to Rising Up's desire to be part of a continuous improvement trajectory, based on concrete and measurable commitments.
The certification allowed Rising Up to formalize an approach already undertaken, while clearly identifying our areas of progress. We have worked on reducing the environmental impact of our digital solutions, paying particular attention to the sobriety of content, the optimization of infrastructures and the monitoring of energy consumption, in particular those related to artificial intelligence.
We have also strengthened our approach to responsible design, by focusing on simple, useful and accessible digital services. Digital accessibility, the limitation of non-essential functionalities and the optimization of content formats are an integral part of this approach, in order to offer effective experiences without overconsuming resources.
Rising Up's Responsible Digital approach is inseparable from its social mission. Our digital solutions and our work in artificial intelligence aim to respond to major human challenges: the quality of education, skills development and employability, in a context of rapid transformation of the labor market.
This commitment is directly linked to several United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are priority areas for Rising Up. In particular, we contribute toSDG 4 — Quality education, by developing digital educational devices based on scientific research and oriented towards the acquisition of sustainable human skills. We also act in connection with theSDG 8 — Decent work and economic growth, seeking to improve employability and professional integration through digital tools adapted to the real needs of learners and organizations.
Our approach is also part ofSDG 10 — Reducing inequalities, making sure to design accessible and inclusive solutions, as well as inSDG 12 — Responsible consumption and production, through attention to digital sobriety and the control of environmental impacts.
At Rising Up, artificial intelligence is designed as a tool at the service of the general interest, and not as a technological purpose. Our approach is fully in line with a logic ofIA for Social Good, where AI is mobilized to produce a positive and measurable social impact.
Concretely, this means the use of open source models where relevant, the use of public data, and constant attention to the transparency, robustness and simplicity of the models. Our research and scientific publications aim to better understand the development of human skills, to shed light on the dynamics of the labour market and to contribute to the reduction of unemployment among working young people.
This approach makes it possible to reconcile technological innovation, ethics and social impact, while limiting the potential negative effects associated with automation and the overconsumption of digital resources.
The Responsible Digital Label is awarded for a period of two years. It is a management framework and not a purpose. Over this period, Rising Up is committed to monitoring concrete indicators, to deploying a Responsible Digital Roadmap and to strengthening the awareness and skills development of teams.
We will communicate transparently on the progress of the actions implemented and will regularly share our feedback, in a logic of continuous improvement.
For our customers and partners, this certification guarantees digital solutions designed with a requirement of responsibility, particular attention to environmental and human impacts, and a coherent approach toresponsible artificial intelligence. It is part of a desire to build sustainable solutions, in line with the current challenges of training, employment and skills transformation.
Obtaining the Responsible Digital Label (NR1) confirms Rising Up's desire to reconcile innovation, responsibility and impact. We are convinced that more responsible digital technology and AI at the service of social good are essential levers for building sustainable solutions at the service of individuals, organizations and society.
